WELCOME TO JOE’S CLUBHOUSE!

We’re looking forward to seeing you in the Ask Joe Forums.

This month, Joe welcomes SCOTT BRICK, Premier Audiobook Narrator, as our special guest for the February 22nd forum.

Actor, screenwriter and audiobook narrator, Scott definitely gives new meaning to a hyphenate career with credits in film, television, stage and radio.  In addition to many theatrical accomplishments, to date he’s won over 30 Earphones Awards for his narrating skills, as well as the 2003 Audie Award for Dune: The Butlerian Jihad.

Expressing his diverse and creative abilities (a vital part of creating a successful, long-lived career), Scott recently completed writing his first novel, a modern-day supernatural thriller based on an 18th century murder in New England.

With the combined knowledge of two of the voiceover industry’s most notable professionals, the mics will be open for your participation as Joe and Scott guide a discussion on how to create a sustaining career in audiobook narration.

They’ll look at the particular career factors of audiobook narration that will help you discover:

  • Is Long-Form Narration for You?
  • Income opportunities: Rates, The Value of Your Time, and Sustaining an Income.
  • Agents, ACX, and “Me, Myself and I” Production Options: Creative Techniques for Getting your Audiobook Heard.

Between Joe’s stimulating, astute counsel, Scott’s piquant experiences in brilliant storytelling form and your own evocative career questions, this forum promises to be a lively and enriching new look at career development and success techniques.
